Mr. Chandra Bir Tamang superannuated from the civil service on 15th May 2010 after 38 years of active service; he was relieved from the office on 31st May 2010. Mr. CB Tamang began his career in 1972 as a Skilled Field Man after successfully passing the Skilled Field Man examination conducted at Bhur by the then Department of Agriculture under the Ministry of Development. He was just 18 years old then. From Skilled Field Man to Agriculture Extension Worker to Agriculture Supervisor, he has served in various capacities as an extension worker in the field. After 20 years in the field, he was transferred to the then Centre for Agriculture Research & Development (CARD) at Wangdue Phodrang in 1992 as a Research Assistant. In June 2005, he was transferred to the research sub-centre (RSC) Mithun, Tsirang as the Officer-In-Charge, his last assignment.
